Barnabas Makario Michieka is an Economist and Management professional holding a BA and Master's degree in Economics from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab, India (1993). He has over two decades (1995-2020) of experience managing people, resources, and processes in tea production at two multinational tea companies in Sotik: Sotik Tea/Highlands and Kipkebe/Sasini Tea Co. Ltd. He is a Certified Professional Mediator with MTI (EA) and sits on the Board of Management of St. Ambrose Kierira Dok Comprehensive School, Keroka Township. His appointment as Chairperson of the inaugural Board of Keroka Municipality brings a wealth of private sector experience vital for service delivery to residents.
Involved in the planning and oversight of the Keroka Municipality Integrated Development Plan (IDeP) 2025-2029 and its infrastructure, environmental, and social investment programmes.
