Works are progressing at the Modern Market at Keroka Town, a flagship Trade and Industry project under the IDeP 2025-2029. Roofed trading bays, shop units, staircases and balconies are taking shape alongside cabro-paved walkways, storm water drainage, high mast and solar street lighting, a new elevated water tower, and an ablution block, bringing organized, sanitary trading space closer to completion for Keroka traders.
Works have begun on the 4.8km Metamaywa-Nyasore-Keroka Town-DC's Office-Amabuko road, the top priority route identified in the IDeP's targeted roads programme.
Through the Kenya Informal Settlements Improvement Project (KISIP), Keroka has upgraded Block B slum, tarmacked backstreets, and built new market stalls, water kiosks, and a modern abattoir.
Keroka Municipality invites eligible and qualified firms to bid for the construction of a modern market at Keroka Town, a priority Trade and Industry project under the IDeP.
The deadline for renewing single business permits has been extended to allow more traders to comply without penalty.
